Picasa - Almost Good

picasalogosm.jpgI have TONS of photos, and they aren’t all of naked women. So I need a photo browser that’s up to the task of displaying and managing my photos. Mostly displaying, since I’m not going to tag the MILLIONS of photos I have. No joke, millions.

So I’ve been using Compupic Pro, and when it started giving me shit (corrupted database of almost 3GB) I started looking around for a nice alternative. I tried a few, but I figured I’d try Picasa again. My first time with Picasa wasn’t great, but I figured “new version, maybe better”. Nope.

It choked bigtime. Crash and burn.

Now, Picasa isn’t right for my extraordinary photo collection, but it has worked very well for others I’ve talked with, so I can’t totally shit on it.

You can give it a try and see if it’s something you’re looking for. It’s free, it’s google, it’s worth a shot.

What about ACD See? It’s all I’ve used for photos and what not, and I’ll filled a whole DVD with them before.

Mine -are- mostly all of naked women though. I feel no shame.

Naked women rule. Any dide who says looking at naked women is perverted is either a) a virgin b) gay or c) retarded.

    Naked women rule.

    Oh, yeah, picture browsers…

I tried ACDSee, it was okay, but I never felt comfortable with it. It also gave me hassles, nag screens, bad cracks, whatever. It just never appealed to me. Compupic Pro is nice.
