Opinion - Orlando Sentinel - Donk On “Animal Abuse”

Covered floor.57 neglected dogs seized from home - Forum

Anyone who is vocal about “animal rights” is probably not going to change their mind on the subject… at least not right away.  I consider it a hysterical subject; not funny hysterical, but wide-eyed, gibbering, drooling, insult-riddled hysterical.

Take, for instance, the forum topic above.  I chimed in against the man being arrested because I don’t think the law should concern itself with what a man does with his property, and a pet (or 57 pets) is property.

As I said in my first post to the forum: “Or you can vote to make the laws less stringent pertaining to what people do to their own property.  The only thing this guy should be charged with is not removing the feces and causing a public health hazard.  The animals are his to do with as he pleases.

“It’s not your place to tell your neighbor not to squish spiders or kill cows for food, and it’s not your place to punish someone for not treating their pets with the respect you think they deserve.”

Oh man, what a shit storm.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed every minute of the discussion, even when I was insulted.  The insults merely showed how hysterical the “animal rights advocates” can be.  There a many deleted messages on that forum topic, mostly from PETA puffers who insulted me directly.  Gotta keep them on a short leash, y’know.

Anyway, check out the exchange and have a laugh.  I enjoyed my postings, and you may, too.
